The Shepherd

The Shepherd

Consequence shepherd's a lie to follow
A bond once true, flawed & hollow,
A gift of life, devoid of scrutiny
Unfamiliar perception, though trust must pay,

Angel's guide a soul to see,
A conscious mind, has no plea,
Confidence gifted with no condition,
A shepherd leads to self admission.

The sheep strives to be unseen,
An invisible trade where none can dream,
The message carried, intention clear,
Destiny is shaped by those who steer,

The shepherd judged, a fate now certain,
Cast adrift, with suspicion,
The guiding hand, tainted with contempt,
For the shepherd you must, now resent,

To live in fear, the decision taken,
Failure's minion, the future certain,
Forsaking the shepherd for lines that are written,
The shepherd remains loving & true.
