The silent killer

sinking into the darkness
my heart is racing
could this be the death of me
who is this monster I am facing?

I go deeper into darkness
not knowing what I might find
I am trapped in this cell
me against my mind

the demons are surrounding me
my breathing is getting slower
My heart is crying out
Quick I need to find shelter

this is the forefront
of the battles I live
engulfed in darkness
my whole life is a sin

I sink into a slumber
but i hear a large scream
then everything goes black
as my demons defeat

they broke down my walls
and they found a way out
my old ways are gone
behold a new monster is found 

they took everything
including my last breathe
the old man is gone
now say hello to death

the mind is so powerful
but most dont see
if you hold them back they will win
thats what happened to me
