Working to live turns to living to work
When you're used to the lifestyle enjoying the perks
But whilst working these hours the time starts to fly
And we end up missing out on things
That money cannot buy

Finding the right balance
Is not easy I have tried
To spend more time with family
Whilst still able to provide

Provide the things that make them smile
I don't want to see them sad
But when does buying gifts become
The biggest importance of being a dad

And soon the kids have grown up
You've blinked and missed their teens
You see them maybe once a week
Through your computer screens

And of course they're too busy to visit
They're working so they can spend
Their outgoings exceed their income
And it's you who who set the trend

So reign in your outgoings
Enjoy your family
