Poem -

The Slumbering Heart.

The Slumbering Heart.

The fear that remains still within my heart,
Cascades beneath my flesh and consumes my being.
For after some time, my heart forgets past pain.
Yet it opens itself wide like a river to a sea with a heavy tide.
Oh be brave dear friend and remember the memories laid by past pretences.

Oh dear heart, slumber once more...

Slumber once more.
