The Speaking Meadow

The Speaking Meadow

The speaking meadow has a thousand flowers

Bent a little with mild wind

Within the sun in the sun

The speaking meadow

Is where dragonflies come

And light and shadow a puzzle of greens

Lift up their arms.

And sing there are bees

I do not know their language

But still I am part of their voices

I have been here awhile within this circle of trees

And if you want me to translate

Here are  a thousand words simple

It says

We are expression of light

We are a thousand hands uplifted

Here where sky meets earth

We are a symphony

The earth plays and

Our roots in the ground

Are our legs

We are breathing

Men need little from us yet

So they leave us alone

See here the beetle see here the ant

All with a thousand tongues welcome

A  butterfly dances  a song to

Flowers now and then

Welcome to the speaking meadow

Sit down belong and be calm

I have had this idea of the speaking meadow, really a world of its own for a long time,I have even tried to paint it.....the speaking meadow in such a way that the plants all sort of sing together. And the meadow is their song. I like the idea,no belief, that one can find much more than beauty in nature but also a spiritual connection. Thanks for the comment.
