It was over - a life celebrated and remembered,
how much more could be given you really wondered,
God would be waiting to take care of your soul,
you had completed what was to be your Earthly role.

The children you raised, upbringing we all praised,
time passed by, seemed to last forever as we gazed,
your smile would be with us and bright blue eyes,
now we could be sure that nothing really dies.

The places you went to, visited so many lands,
loved you, stood for hours just to shake your hands,
friends alike who would wish to pay tribute to you,
who admired, did not detract, everything you may do.

You would brighten up us all and any dull cloudy sky,
we need not have worried, the sun came out to say goodbye.
