Oh my precious dear Son Andrew, I know you now live high above;

And I’m aware that your dear friend Jesus, has blessed you with His love!

But I wish you could have been here longer, and kissed your Mum goodbye;

For that is the way it is supposed to happen, the children, the ones to cry!

But that was not the way it played out, you left at thirty-one;

Now for seven years I’ve mourned you, and my tears have freely run!

Each day for me brings sharp pain, as I must live it without you;

Each night is never ending, for I lay there and I rue!

I think of all the great times, that you and I had shared;

But now, how they are all over, and my heart is so impaired!

The smiles on my face are facades, that hide my bleeding heart;

For seven years I’ve been an actress, playing a most important part!

The day that you rose up to your Maker, was the one that my soul then died;

And for seven years it has mourned you, and a million tears has cried!

Someday we’ll be back together, when your Mum come’s to stay with you;

But until then they’ll think I’m smiling, while my heart is truly blue!
