The Sweetest Of All Roses

A Collaboration Tribute To Linda’s Mother

The Sweetest Of All Roses

My dearest departed mother, on this day I honor you;
Named Rose, for your pure beauty, the sweetest I ever knew!
You filled me with the gift of love, so deeply for me you cared;
You taught me and enriched my life, in the joyous years we shared!
.
Then you left me far too early, not yet fifty-one years old;
A victim of your environment, harmful chemicals there did lull!
You fought hard to beat the cancer, that your pancreas contained;
But you floated off to Heaven, Angels weeping in the rain!
.
To all, you left behind your legacy, of never ending love;
I feel it shining down upon me, from the Heavens up above!
So know that I am thinking of you, on this Blessed Mother’s Day;
“The Sweetest Of All Roses”, in my Soul you’ll ever stay!
.
.
You left too early
But your love stayed behind
In my heart and Soul
