The Talking Snowman

The Talking Snowman

In the shadows you wait, looking at me

 like a curious  ghost;

sullen faced, dressed up for a wedding

though I want to leave you standing by the road

I just can't walk away

 and keep myself pure;

not today

I'm just not strong enough

to keep myself away, from your music

 you speak to me so

sad and sweet;

like a fish eyed Adele in limelight

singing in angelic tone

Hey Chris a talking snowman ready for a wedding, I know this has to be a metaphor for life a longing that could never be for whatever reason or another . Cheers a great write. Rock

lol, HRL...yes I suppose it is,  was trying to personify an addiction; it is dressed up for a wedding, grim faced; like a fish eyed Adele, lol.... usually in a dream sullen faced people at a wedding, means death...the talking snowman is just a title I like; represents the will; the governing body of mankind; the snowman has no choices, much like the will when it is controlled by something...hey thanks for commenting bro.  I hope I opened it up, somewhat....cheers
