The things you missed

The things you missed

Close my eyes and try not to cry.
Two years its been since I didn't get to say good bye.
My graduation you missed now my 18th you won't see.
Blood we were not but family we were you were my mother and I your daughter.
My wedding the birth of your grandchildren all you will not see oh how this hurts me.
I lye in bed some nights and talk to you hoping you can hear as my tears run a stray.
All the things you have and will miss all the words I didn't get to say.
Mama how I wish you could see the person I will be.
Mama how I hope you would be proud of what you would see when looking at me.
For I shall travel on and make you proud till we meet again in those white clouds.
