The Three Amigos

We were the “Three Amigos”, dear friends right from the gun;
A triumvirate was formed instantly, three soulmates who walked as one!
For twelve plus years we were inseparable, where one went so did the other two;
We shared a bond unbreakable, of love that was so true!
But then there came that awful day, in battle, one of us was felled;
“Oh no, Oh no, this cannot be”, the other two both yelled!
A heroes’ funeral we gave to him, and built a great and treasured shrine;
And every morning we pray at it, and with tears for him we pine!
At night the bed where he once slept, lies empty, as our tears in darkness fall;
Sometimes he returns to visit us, in dreams, we love recall!
“Three Amigos” we thought would never part, but so sadly, now are two;
But your soul still in us both does live, and forever, we’ll love you!
We know some day we’ll reunite, in the Heavens up above;
And again we’ll roam the Firmaments, three soulmates so in love!
We even will impress the Lord, for he will bless our loving hearts;
And issue His proclamation that, “The Three Amigos” shall never part!

A lovely tribute to our baby, my Larry. I feel it`s a great honour for me that I found you both my treasured friends and confidants and that I`m able to read your wonderful work, it was the best day of my life when I found your very first poem and decided to get in touch and I`m so very proud of you my darling. Nico must love this and he will be there with you as you write them and listening to your mind as you think of those beautiful words as dogs are psychic and your work makes him so happy.
Give Linda and Cody a hug for me, there are some new poems on my list for you all.
I love you all
G xx
Our Dear Georgina,
The day Linda posted my first poem that you responded to, was the one that the Angels looked down on us and smiled, then brought you into our lives. You have been a blessing beyond compare, and the love we share is forever.
All our purest love,
Linda, Larry and Cody

Hi Dear Debs,
Thank you so much for those beautiful words. They are always so comforting and inspirational. Sorry for not getting back a little sooner, but we had quite a few tornado scares yesterday down here in Florida. Also, I just read your beautiful poem, "Happy Birthday Dad", and am going to post something for you, in the next half hour, in the form of a poem that is my response to it.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry
