The Totality of Love

Beneath your tail light
I found myself thinking...
The correlation of your enigmatic sparks
amalgamated within my own hearts fire
Transcending my thoughts
towards a higher plane of existence
I found my hunger,
persistently beckoning
my soul to enrapture,
within your own perfect hues
To Infuse the essence of our selves
to become the self
One perfect unity
betwixt a landscape
of emerald hearts
Which rest
Yearning
Burning
Against
a sea
of dark

While this is indeed a deeply spiritual write Gewn...I do sense a deeper yearning here...to know, once and for all or spend whatever years left searching and seeking. Sometimes blind faith is not enough...sometimes can never be enough
many hugs xxx
Thanks Marion, yes I think I will forever be seeking. It is a restless need that never seems to leave us once it takes a hold. Many hugs back atcha my friend xxx

Your so welcome 🙏
your bright talent is a glorious light!.........................................................Jim
Jim you are always too kind my friend. Thank you for leaving such a beautiful comment here today xx
There is a crack, a crack in everything. That's how the light from those green hearts gets in .... I dont know why but your words reminded me of LNC's Anthem & although quite distinctly different, I like them equally x
Oh wow Neville, I never anticipated such a comment :) many thanks my friend...so pleased this was equally enjoyed x
writely or wrongly, it is often the unexpected that I appreciate the most these days ............ & I assure you it was :) x
:) you are too kind my friend. I hope your week is a positive one x
Gwen a real standalone narrative poem that literally reads like a standalone beacon, a human lighthouse filled and consumed with a Godlike power to become something else, to move on, to evolve.
Enjoyed this very much and admire the way you delivered something else, something different and something from poetry's left field.
And beautifully done, like from a tiny acorn a mighty oak can arise.
Only said acorn is the spark and its beacon of light is predestination.
Hang in there and hope all is well, back tomorrow to read more, but in the meantime keep writing top drawer quality and I'm wishing you well.
Nos da Gwen. x.
Gosh Shaun, I forgot how beautiful your commentary is. Your words are poetry themselves my friend. I am ever grateful for your visit, for your wonderful in-depth and insightful interpretations. You have always shined on Cosmo...so happy to have you visiting and posting again 😊 Stay well my friend

Hi, Gwen, thanks for the best wishes and I hope Life will treat you as it has done me the last couple of months - hard work, but rewarding in all meanings (I just have to wait till the poetry starts to flow again)
Hi John, yes rewards always feel more fulfilling when hard work is involved. I always feel rewarded...many thanks for the good wishes and may your poetry flow with abundance my friend. I look forward to reading it. Keep shinning brightly 🌟x
Gwen, I'm sorry that after all that you did for me I dropped off the face of the Earth, but I just wanted to drop by to say what a fantastic poem. It isn't every day (these days even less likely) that something captures my attention as this one did. I want to break it down.

What a way to open your poem! Simply outstretching a hand to the reader, to come and listen. I love that.
The correlation of your enigmatic sparks
amalgamated within my own hearts fire
Transcending my thoughts

But here is my favourite verse. I think what I enjoy the most about how all encapsulating it is, it has this balance between rhyme and reason. No loss of cadence, no loss of clarity behind your words. No amount of thought could have gone into this, no, this is a sense, a talent, which cannot be trained but rather, inspired. And so it does and has always inspired me.
I found my hunger,
persistently beckoning
my soul to enrapture,
within your own perfect hues
To Infuse the essence of ourselves
to become the self
One perfect unity
betwixt a landscape
of emerald hearts
The desire for a paradise. Quite a heavy verse, but one that sits well with me. To become so interconnected with someone, on more of a spiritual level, I think this is the deepest level of connection we can obtain from a person.

This really sums up your writing nicely and gives the reader an explicit image to walk away with. Personally your most powerful part of the poem.
As you can tell, I really enjoyed this one Gwen~ Hope to catch up soon~ Your friend Max~
Max 😃 yaaaay this has made my day! Yay yay and YAY 😃 It is so lovely to see you on Cosmo my friend. I really do hope life is picking up for you. I know that ocean can feel rather choppy at times. But trust me when I tell you, your writing always comes from such clear waters. I do hope you are posting again. What a wonderful gift to find this morning on one of my poems. THANK YOU...you have always been an epic provider on here, with your generous feedback and wonderful interpretations. Never failing to lift the writer and their work. It shines in the comment you left me here now. You show great comprehension of my scribbles Max. I feel lucky when I find your words next to my work. Thank you so much for diving in on this one. You are right of course. We all want that deep connection, to feel fulfilled in life, by sharing its intricate and emotional workings with another. Which requires openness and trust. But when it is found, it is the most incredible journey. Like everything important, we have to be brave and keep dipping a toe in that big ocean called life.
And I waffle...but you know am good at that lol
so so happy to see you on here...please please pleeeeease keep coming back and post some poems. You ARE missed my friend
