The Tragic Old West

Ghostly imprints haunt
This once bustling
Wild west town
Justice came quickly
To the guilty
Hanging by a rope at first light
With no lawman to be found
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
Vengeance is the key to survive
In this land of the wicked
No prisons to hold the desperados at bay
They meet at high noon
To settle their bloody game
Looking at each other for sudden moves
The pistols are cocked and locked
Ready to even the score
As the clock hits twelve
Bullets fly hitting his chest
What a way to die
Greed is the mostly likely suspect

There is definately no peace for the wicked...and the evil that men do lives with them...Nice write Rock
A nod to the United States' history is done with aplomb !
Nostalgic piece !! :)
Take care of yourself my friend.
My Brother Poet Rock,
Tragically, "The Wild Old West" has become the thousand times more dangerous "Deadly Mideast". Millions die in innocence, as monsters detonate them into oblivion. No code of honor. No meetings at noon. The dark forces of evil inundate their lands with terror heretofore unknown to man. Oh, to have our old "Wild West" back again.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Hey Larry very true words indeed . Kids or women blowing themselves up for no rhyme or reason. This is a picture of a town in California, one of the most haunted towns out that way. Was watching tombstone the day before too . Hope you are doing well , rock
