The Two Greatest Writers

There is no doubt in my mind, of “The Two Greatest Writers” in history;
The ones that always inspire us most, the harbingers of odes to be!
They both are all consuming, emotions beyond compare;
They reach deep into our psyche, as our hearts we truly bare!

They are the two sides of our make up, either happy, or in pain;
Singing paeans to our dear loved ones, or tears falling down like rain!
They induce us to the labors, of sharing our ardent Souls;
In one, they are fully shattered, in the other, they are happy and whole!
.
I name them now for my fellow poets, whose passions overflow;
I have read so many of their great writes, and I think that they all know!
Passion and love are our inspiration, to create our works of art;
We are either suffering inhumanities, or telling Soulmates we’ll never part!
.
These opposites are so closely related, evoking emotions beyond compare;
In one, we are wailing in depression, the other, walking on love’s air!
But whichever stage a writer shares, with their dearest coterie;
Their passions will ever tell the truth, the purest of poetry!
