The Vampiress

The Vampiress

Wicked upon the altar
of spirit and light,
a scavenger of the heart
in the shadows,
dark temptress of the night.

She offers her mouth
of broken pearls,
a rose immortelle
intense in her allure,
cruel of thorn
and killer curves.

The stillness of her frosted
heart and skin,
the tyranny of her false embrace
unconditional in her kiss of sin
that pierces deep within.

A wretched feast
of sinister love,
where flows the crimson
essence upon amulets everlasting
broken upon the breast,
and the flowered fields are
stained in blood.

Upon her passionate breath
the tortured silhouettes of death,
creep and steal away the light
and in the shadows her eyes burn
as embers bright with spite
to consume the breath of life,
forged eternal in fountains
of fallen stars and moonlight.
