The Walk

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path, once my eyes were full of light I vowed to never turn back. I took that road and I walked alone, some wanted to come and some went home. The further I went I started to see there was no one in front or beside of me. I knew I had taken the right path, when I watched others walk away and some would even laugh. But I felt your presence ever near and I heard your voice so ever clear. The sound of your Whispers to my heart they say,  I'm never alone each hour of the day. Your Tender mercies never fail me even when I'm doing wrong, you remind me that you love me and you and you help to keep me strong. I know your love is enough for me, enough for everyone but most of them will not meet you because they do not acknowledge your son. Help me to appreciate the suffering that I go through, when it's because I'm walking the way when it's because I'm walking in truth.
