The Wall
A name. Did you know him?
I believe dear he knew of you.
He had our freedom upon his mind-
When he served The Red, White and Blue.
Freedom to worship as we see fit!
Freedom to choose the life we live!
Freedom to speak and dance and sing!
Freedom to love and to forgive!
A name. What does it mean?
OneΒ who loved him, bestowed it on him years before.
When he died- hearts on earth, were no doubt broken-
As he placed the hand of a warrior on Heaven's door!
I believe a warrior is blessed with special sight-
Granted by God when his name Heaven calls!
For when he arrives at The Pearly Gate-
His name lights up on Heaven's Wall!
As he marches forward to The Light-
He is safe forevermore!
Never again will he have to give his life-
Or be consumed by the ravage of war!
The name on The Wall is important.
Read each one reverently and pray....
Thank God for this special warrior-
Who gave his life for us one day.
Pray for his family and loved ones-
Those whose tears, for him, build a tower!
A name you say. Did you know him?
Well, you know him now, this hour.
