The Wildcat

There was an amusement park in Dayton, located on the West Side;
It had a bad boy named “The Wildcat”, a daunting roller coaster ride!
It was different from any others, for after racing down the first hill;
You’d hit a sharp turn at it’s bottom, giving one a unique thrill!
.
When I got my driver’s license, quite often we went to Lakeside Park;
I would take a bunch of my buddies, and we’d stay there till after dark!
On the Bumper Cars we went crazy, throwing full weight to increase the smack;
The Tilt-A-Whirl would get us dizzy, our equilibrium in full lack!
.
But then we’d go to our paragon, the mighty Wildcat egged us on;
You probably won’t believe me, when you hear what we stumbled upon!
We discovered that while ascending, its rising to the top;
We could climb over the car we were riding, and in the one behind us plop!
.
One night the operator saw us, and was furious when we returned;
We told him, “You must be seeing things”, as our stomachs fully churned!
He said, “Maybe, but I don’t think so, don’t pull a stunt like that again”;
We said, “Yes, sir, we really thank you, for being the kindest of most men”!
.
.
                We were rash young men
                We conquered The Wildcat
                  Feathers in our caps
