Poem -

The Witch

I am a creature of the night,
Following the ancient ways.
Gentle words flow from my lips,
As I hail the Gods of olden days.
With atheme held by my side,
And pure white candles brightly lit,
I chant the songs of years gone by,
And cleanse the room as justly fit.
Energy is flowing æround,
I cast the circle thrice about,
With Air, Earth and Water, Fire too,
To keep the evil spirits out.
Now to begin my ancient work,
Upon my task I set.
I use the golden words of yore,
And stop not until my end is met.
At the closing of the night,
After all the energy is still,
I chant "Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill."
"An' harm it none, do what ye will."
