THE WORLD 2020

What must I write about what must I say
So many things are happening in the world today 
The virus of course dominates all the news
A vaccine must be found no time to lose

Trump in America constantly says the wrong thing
People around the world are still hungry and suffering 
Black people being shot because of their colour skin
Don't start me with Johnson wouldn't know where to begin

There must be some good news somewhere 
Just haven't found it yet and that isn't fair 
2020 is really a year that we all must forget 
Will be talked about in history I'm willing to bet

So as I rise from my bed for another day to begin
Looking for something that I can call a win 
That's when I see the sky looking so lovely and blue
Knowing also that I know the likes of a person like you
