The Worlds Best Dressed Unpacker

The Worlds Best Dressed Unpacker

Last Wednesday was our moving day, it started with a glitch;
Our movers cancelled at the last minute, citing a serious medical hitch!
We frantically made some phone calls, and found another guy;
But he could not come till 2 p.m., six hours we watched go by!
.
So instead of being done by afternoon, it took till 8 p.m. that night;
Our nerves and pep completely shot, so frustrated with our plight!
We fell in bed at 9 p.m., dreading tomorrow’s dire dawn;
With boxes stacked up everywhere, our patience completely gone!
.
I woke up early, at 1 a.m., determined the kitchen to attack;
But I lost the battle very quickly, when I started to unpack!
I gave up in just an hour, laid down and took a rest;
I needed Linda’s prowess, to rejuvenate my zest!
.
A few hours later, she was up and at it, I was amazed at her progress;
She brought new hope and inspiration, I decided to “redress”!
A Dior tie and U.S. Open golf cap, I donned for all to see;
“The Worlds Best Dressed Unpacker”, I can now lay claim to be!
.
.
                                  A must to be worn
                          For best dressed unpacker
                              Fine tie and cool hat

Dear Greg,

Moving is no fun, especially when you do it three times in less than three years.  We thought we were going to stay in our Villages rental home for many years, but ended up moving to Dayton, to be near family.  We rented a large townhouse, where we thought we would be for a long time, but just had to move again, into a much smaller place, still here in Dayton.
The next time we move, it will be back to Florida.

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx

"So pleased you  are finally in your new 'crib
and looking so elegant too.
Now just find the teapot, cups and some milk
and before you unpack -have a brew!! "      ( thats what we Brits call a cup of tea!) .

Cheers hun xxxx

My Dear lodigiana,

Linda did the "brew" your way, with some nice organic green tea.
But I did the "brew" my way, with a nice bottle of Chardonnay.
However, we were great teammates on the unpacking.
Thank you for your whimsical comment.

Love,
Larry xxx
