The Young Sailor

While a young sailor was drifting on the hazy sea of grief,
An unexpected adventure made him bounce back from his knees,
A single strip of light gave great contrast to the dark clouds on the eery sky,
As if this was a sign, a sign of hope.
Guided by the single strip of light, the young sailor was on the right path to happiness,
A smiling figure shot a Cupid’s arrow right in the centre of the young sailor’s heart,
Bringing optimism into his life,
Hypnotising eyes, gentle skin and beautiful hair have all made the young sailor smile,
Making all his issues fade away.
Clouds began to sprout as dysphasia ruined the young sailor’s joy,
He was sailing back to the sea of grief as he experienced unrequited love,
Alone surrounded by only the thick fog he screamed
“What shall I do as salty tears flood my face like falling rain,
As hate developed from love again”.
