" THESE BONES "

" THESE BONES "

I can always find some frail memorial to protect
But the knowledge of this borrowed body does ache
I love no tortuous tenderfoot that hasn't respect
For the beauty that surrounds us all, each day
---------------------------------------------------------------
I pray to the gods for the strength to protect these bones
For much like that frail memorial, my foundation's weak
But there's a sweet disorder to so much time spent alone
Affording my soul the opportunity to touch the paraclete
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I find that it is in the beauty that surrounds these bones
Where pathos goes to die and bountiful hope does shine
As a veiled force inside, that metaphysically postpones
The deadly deterioration that this life unwinds
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I can always find some glistening reminder in the ether alone
That bends and shapes the lavender light of my third eye
It's there that I swim in the restoration of these bones
It's there that I'm reminded, that the soul never dies...

Dear Tony....this piece is such a testament to mans insuperable ambition to conquer his own 'world' be that one of 'hurt', 'pain' disillusion' The power expressed here is palpable and your determination to overcome is so so strong!!!....Your use of words is an inspiration Tony and as always such a pleasure  to read and absorb...pinned to remind me that 'heroism' exists in many many forms dear brother poet!

This poignant poetic proclamation portraying pure faith virtually oozes with positivity, Tony.
The abab rhyme scheme, coupled with very strong end rhymes, kept this intrigued reader motoring right along down the page.
In a word; "Sensational"!

Dear Poet Brother JEREMY!!
You nailed it my friend......

"...in which soul overcomes the frailties of ones fleeting,
               temporal frame."

I believe the day WILL come when we do have that 'sit down' over drinks and great conversation.  Where we delve into the possibilities we have discussed on many an occasion.  Cherie tells me Deano is in the picture again, I'm happy for you and I CAN see the four of us verbally fencing and changing the scope of modern poetry!!  (smiles)..... one day my friend!... one day!! In the meantime there are things to discuss in the here and now!!...... talk soon!!...... Kings To You!!.......T xo ???♥♥♥

Hi Tony, I absolutely love this! As I expect with your work (no pressure) lol!, your use of language is another level, beyond me. Though I may not fully understand, what I take, and where you can lead me, with such enchantment, leaves me completely awe struck, in honesty! You can find such beauty, (with your 3rd eye) ,  and translate it to print, eloquently and professionally. Of which I have the greatest respect.
Peace, friend ☺

Dear Poet brother JOHN!!...... firstly, I am happy to see you on page, I haven't been around much to support your work lately (heading there after this)....... secondly, I am MORE than happy about your reference to the 'third eye'....... most people don't know that about me...... and it is such a cool thing that you do....... difficult subject matter to just splash around haphazardly if you know what I mean?!..... thirdly, flattery will get you everywhere!! LOL!!....... you're the coolest!!......thanx SO much for the 'way cool' comment!!...... Kings To You!!......T xo ???☀☀♥♥
