These Lines Are Our Code

The lines we place down are our code.
What we have determined as right or wrong.
Some of us have had these set down for years, while others are freshly painted.
No one around you know these testaments to your way of life unless you divulged them.
You can't judge someone of breaking your law unless it's known.
But when a line has been crossed, action must be taken.
Don't let someone else walk all over your testimony.
Whether it is new or not does not matter.
What counts is how you feel after the person has broken one of your codes.
Who we decide to be as people determine all the occurrences in our life.
Sometimes we aren't given choices and must play with the cards we are dealt.
But choices of who you were and what you do can affect any future dealings.
Keep to your lines and codes.
Make sure those around you do not cross over.
