Think before you speak

Yes, I have a lot to say in poetry because I'm socially retarded I stutter, I stare I look disinterested like I don't emotionally care.
For your information I'm not creepy or weird, I just don't have the verbal aptitude, so think before you say something rude.
Don't come giving me attitude my speech is my written word the only way I know to be heard.
So keep to yourself, any one word that describes someone you've never heard.
I hear the pain that screams those names, I cry in thought those words you sought to fight a battle you never fought.
Here are a few choice words I feel. Anger, depression, pain, lost, sorrow, confidence and more of the same.
Just because socially I don't know how to ask your name or the friendship I hope to gain.
This poem has said enough, for all out there life is already rough, no need to make it harder to bear, think before you speak its only fair.
Don't forget to vote stars and hearts, stars and heart! :)

Hello Kelv...
When someone stutters it's a phenomena that can't be explained...
It doesn't make a person less intelligent...
Lots of famous people stuttered and they were able to overcome it...
My Dad got Polio when he was a kid and he almost died...
He lived, but it left him with the speech impediment...
He stuttered his beginning consonants...
Whenever he sang or whispered he didn't stutter at all...
He had the feelings of frustration, anger, he lacked confidence and like you said more of the same...
Thank you for writing this and bringing awareness...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Hi, Sparrowsong
Thank you
I don't stutter all the time just when I try to speak to women or even strangers, I'm fine with family and close friends.
Yes, it's definitely a confidence problem and nerves but on the whole, it's being scared.
I know of Polio and some side effects of surviving it, not being able to walk and stuttering and a lot of others besides.
I can't sing at all so your dad overcoming stuttering while singing is a feat itself.
This is the first time I have ever spoken to anyone about me stuttering but its only been a recent thing, I don't remember doing it as a child.
Thanks again
Kelv
