This Dream...

This dream is no longer mine. Forsaken by time. A lost & forgotten thought, of paths that we sought. Ill fated with time. No this dream is no longer mine.
Isn’t it strange. How life can rearrange, our hopes and wants, our youthful schemes. Converting them into lost or forgotten dreams. All of the things we wanted to do, isn’t time strange.Â
As our body begins to age. The mind fells trapped. Worn and battered by the passing of time, which has converted our dreams into tears & our thoughts into rage, as our youthful strength is lost to the wisdom of age...
This dream is no longer mine. Looked past in passing time. A lost & forgotten thought of paths that we sought. Becoming ill fated with time. No, no this dream is no longer mine.
This dream is no longer mine. Lost in time. A long lost forgotten thought, of paths that was sought. Being ill fated with time, no, No this dream is no longer mine.Â
The mind grows ever stronger, constantly learning. As the body begins to fail, continually yearning. We hand off the past. Down to our children, we cast, all of our hopes, dreams and learnings. Ever hopeful and constantly yearning...
This dream is no longer mine. Erased with time. A long lost passing thought, of paths that we sought. Dreams ill fated by time. NO, this dream is no longer mine, no no No this dream is no longer mine...

Not yet Pat! Like I said, working progress, and 1 poem daily is my limit, keeps me productive on the rest of my day! But thanks for the follow-up. Perhaps tomorrow, Aus time that is~ Best wishes to you. The Fish of the Sea.
It seems these days I have more time than anything else. I haven’t been able to work now going on seven years( due to multiple disc damaged in my neck and lower back with nerve damage to arms and legs)
so I spend my days around my tiny home with my shar pei and my penned words
i read knowledge as much as I can but get distracted from my reading as each read pushes me into writing.Â
thank you again and looking forward to reading it when it’s finishedÂ
much love and respectÂ

A well written poem that brings a lot of emotion to the reader. In this fast moving, greedy world (where kindness is a virtue many lack) our dreams are very often all we have to keep us happy enough to plod on through the days. And so when I read that your dreams were no longer yours, I felt so sad. A bereavement kind of sad. And that is the emotion that struck me while reading this. Great poem, and a fab picture too x
Thank you for reading my poetry and for leaving comments of how the pen emotionally struck you.  I feel as though if any written work should touch every reader’s emotion for it to become a decent pen....
much love and appreciationÂ

Oh, it's a very decent pen! Thank you for sharing it with us x
The pleasure of the pen is in reading the thoughts of its readers after. So the pleasure is mine. Â Thanks again. Â
