This Is Not A Poem

please be kind to me
i dont know what to say
but dont hold your lighter
under this brutal soul
this broken body
tainted with scars
oh please oh please
be kind to me
i am not fragile so much as mortal
and in the end everything is so finite
but right now i need infinite kindness
so please
please
be kind
to this proud corpse
this sad flower
this dying universe
please oh please.

Hi Gina,
As you know, I'm the June Ambassador and one of the two topics that I requested is save the environment. I have read your poem and unlike others who think you are possibly talking about yourself, I feel it is Mother Nature that you are crying out for. I would appreciate your letting me know if I have interpreted it correctly. Irregardless, it is a beautiful write and I have given it five stars.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry
Thank you very much and actually that is a beautiful interpretation of the poem, of Mother Nature being used and abused and left as a dying flower or proud corpse etc...initially when i wrote the poem i had no muse in mind per se, I just kind of wrote but i appreciate your ability to see broader concepts in my work and i am now fond of calling this a piece on the abhorred deterioration of Mother Earth.
Hi Gina,
Sometimes as we write, our passions are raging so out of control that we don't dwell on a singular purpose. But actually, when our words are dissected, they do uncover a treasure trove of passion that definitely has a theme. Of course, all poetry is open for the readers interpretation. I can only humbly offer mine to illustrate how your beautiful poem moved me.
Peace and love,
xox Larry
