Those Those Of

Take those of diligence and patience
who waited around for a letter stamp on ungraded papers, 
and unflinchingly watched as their bank balances fired North.

Take those of poorly timed romances,
who loved too eagerly and aggressively,
burying themselves in smitten drunk idols, 
desperate to replicate that which was erratic to begin with,
wondering why these foundations overtime collapsed.

Take those of beastly professions,
who thanked sweet capitalism for shuffling the deck in their favour,
gleeful as the soggy dishboys peeked through the kitchen door.

Take those of horror stories,
who lay in bed crying as their young lives crashed around their ears,
accusing parents of the bewitching and the words of Betrayal.

Take those of meaningless resources,
who crammed their faces and homes with futile matter.
merely creating more present shit and future landfill, unknowingly reproducing that which had come before them earlier they were only so desperate to be rid of.

but don't take useless me.
