Those were the days

Those were the days

I bought blue suede shoes when I used to be a rocker
but I wore them out dancing to Elvis Presley and Joe Cocker
I would hop around to the boogedy bop in the local village halls dancing till I’d drop

Oh what swell nights we used to know
Crikey Moses everybody and their brother would go
All of us dressed to impress in our finest fashion
Ready to paint that night red with pleasurable passion

Those were the days my friend didn’t we have a blast
We would just get into the swing of things when we wanted it to last
But all good things must come to an end
At least we have our memories to remember my friend

My Dear Jill,

We were so fortunate to share the best of times
Innocent music, and shindigs beyond compare
But now the world's gone crazy
These beauties no longer there

All my love,
Larry xxx
