To those women who are struggling to conceive

So you did everything right 

but the pain of not succeeding is still your plight 

doctor's visits 

gynecological bills

sudden breakdowns at super market tills 

your husband is kind, loving and supporting 

but the emotional battle is just exhausting 

medical reports:

"Nothing seems to be wrong"

but why oh why is it taking so LONG!

so glorious day appears 

with it comes it's own bag of fears 

positive test 

but this nagging feeling is just a pest 

three weeks pass and horror strikes 

"your womb couldn't hold"

and you think his demeanor quite cold

"adoption could work for you"

after all it is less drama of pregnancy to go through 

the anger boils up 

you just about had enough!

why me Lord? What is wrong with my woman stuff?!

everyday an ungrateful teenage girl aborts that life 

low life sleep arounds leave that gift amidst misery and strife 

i have a home, a husband who could be more than a father 

i am diligent and more than excited to be a mother 

no broken home, absent dad absent ma 

our baby would be raised and loved like a star

how cruel that those who don't deserve a child 

can take this God given privileged so mild

little ones murdered by their own flesh and blood 

ripped from life even before they could bud 

i'd give up hope but i cannot afford to do so 

because what i reap i definitely will sow 

i have to fight for this divine purpose 

and beg for it to be given unto us 

for we are willing 

able and competent 

to treasure a gift like this 

because bringing life into this world is an absolute bliss
