Threads of Love

Threads of Love

So many souls and only one me
each glistening with a thread
taken from my being

so many hearts and only one kiss
gathered carefully lifting the nectar
taken from my lips

I have seen their eyes consume my thoughts
taking from my core
all privacy

watch me turn and rub off
the thick embrace of want
I will be me again
if only in a
dream

so many words lifted from my breath
my inhale full of desires
      not my own
take what you want if any is left
wear me upon your soul
take my smile
make it yours    I give all
so many souls    and only one
me

Hey MITCH!!....this is such a compelling piece....especially when you listen to you reading it aloud....I liked the little touches of music in between stanzas as well...it added to the whole beautifully......ALL STARS!!......well done dear poet brother!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo  : )
