Three Hearts That Beat As One

For my Angels: Nico, now gone almost three years, and Cody, ninety days

Although in separate bodies, together did they run;
United for eternity, Three Hearts That Beat As One!
They shared such sacred loving, more than most will ever see;
My Nico and my Cody, the other parts of me!
.
But now they’re gone forever, and my heart is all alone;
Once it was so happy, but now it ever moans!
It’s not necessary for me to tell you, to a Cardiologist I have spoke;
For although I am not a doctor, I know that it is broke!
.
No pills or medication, could ever the damage mend;
The only thing that would have kept it healthy, is more time together spend!
But you both left me too early, I needed so many more “You Years”;
Then today I would be smiling, instead of crying constant tears!
