Three Years Without You
Today is a very sad one, for three years ago this date;
You so sadly had to leave us, we lost our dear Soulmate!
We were hoping you’d get better, when your weight began to drop;
But there was a demon in your body, it was impossible to stop!

Yet you fought so very bravely, to stay longer by our sides;
You suffered pain in silence, you never whined or cried!
But on Friday you ate nothing, just laid in your little bed;
In a self-induced sopor, our hearts so filled with dread!
.
Then came the light of Saturday, when we rushed you to the Vet;
She said, “You have to let him go now”, the worst news we could get!
It’s been three years since that morning, when our Cody had to leave;
Now not one day ever passes that for you, we do not grieve!

i remmber that day very wellÂ
and 2 days later i saw rainbow in the skyÂ
and know it was cody and cryed
all the way to coffee and then remmber
the sunday i came down to meet you
it was sad morning all of use all most cryed
that day but we didnt i went home and cryed
and the day that was even sadder was the day

we had great time today bec of the virus

Became a dog owner for the first time seven years ago. Before then I would not have been moved like I was by this. I dread the day when little Rosie crosses the bridge. They do find a place in your heart don’t they.
