Through The Looking Glass
How can I get through this never ending misery
Feels like I am stuck with my hands tied behind a tree
Mired down in the mud so much my eyes cannot see
Through the looking glass hope burns ever so bright
But my insecurities haunt me like a ghost with no escape insight
Letting go should be the easy thing to do in a world of turmoil ,plus pain
Longing to be the love you want me to be
Loving you is easy but this life is really hard on me
I will be patiently waiting at the end of the aisle on that special day
Hoping you will not turn and run away

Hi Rock A very emotional poem of painful times in the past.
I relate to it in parts,I think when we get hurt,we find it difficult to
trust again in love, but i think given time we heal
My ex partner destroyed my self confidence making me insecure
I was a shadow of my self,he also destroyed the love
i had for him making me feel numb,That was seven years ago,
only now i feel ready to move on and try to trust in love again

Hey debs you are write when you are hurt in the past ,It is hard to recover but with a new loving and caring heart anything is possible . I was hurting for alot of years ,much strife for sure but the rainbow broke open last August and splendor and joy have been in my life since then . I always enjoy your comments. Hugs to you rock
