Poem -

Thy kingdom come

Thy kingdom come

I wept the last tear for humanity
I took the final steps of life
I looked inside the endless vanity
I fought the subtle and obvious strife
I took my blanket, my watch and my bible
I sat by the window and said my  goodbyes
I settled my business for what I was liable,
Held the book to cast away the lies
I wept a last tear, no more no less
I wept saying goodbye to my family
I drove through the gates of death
Found my place marked in the cemetery
I knelt upon this knee in prayer
I fell upon my mother's grave and wept
I looked into the sky without fear
I held within my heart all that I felt
I prayed to the Lord on this day gone
I walked through the Lord's gates,  thy kingdom come
