TICK-TOCK

Children's Poem

TICK-TOCK

Tick-tock, tick-tock, went the clock
Seconds and minutes marched to meet the hour
Tick-tock, tick-tock, a day is gone
The sun has given the moon its power

A new year draws near in a tick-tock
With every tick-tock, a bud sprouts into a flower
School children get to learn new songs
A flag gets hoisted on the tower

Tick-tock, tick-tock, there shall be raindrops
Drylands will drink from the shower
In our hands are batteries; when the clock stops
We need the tick-tock; be it sweet or sour
