Poem -

Tight Grasp

It's tight.
You're grasping around my arm is a pressure that isn't expected.
You feel so foreign even though my love is real.
I know you aren't doing this out of pettiness, but it's unwanted.
You care as a friend when what I need is more.
It hurts more this attention you give me, after craving it for so long.
I want nothing to do with you-
This feeling in my chest is tight.
You have a gasp around my heart your unwilling to let go.

So good a write. Nothing worse than having someone own your heart when they don’t even want it. I love the visual in this piece as though they literally are grasping your heart in your chest
