TIM

TIM

A soft touch
Gentle nudge
From a sweet memory
Too long unvisited

Don’t think I forgot
Don’t think you were lost
It’s just that this life
I let interfereΒ

Come sit for awhile
By this open window
We’ll bathe in the breeze
Over cups of black coffee

I’ve tried to remember
Gotten lost on the way
Often changed paths
But still reached today

Life is good
I’m doing greatΒ
I found my true love
Left others behind

I would ask about you
But I know you are fine
Must be true glory
Life in that place

Funny how things turn out
I’ve had other friends
Loved many others
But no other friend like you

Well I finished my coffee
Yours is cold
The breeze is getting chilly
Guess I’ll move on

And I enjoyed the time
I won’t wait this long again
To visit a few minutesΒ
With an old friend

Later Tim
