TIME

TIME

I’m holding on for my dear life
As time goes flying by
Not yet ready for the sickle
That frees my soul to fly

I must have been a lazy man
With so much left to do
So now must hurry best I can
To at least complete a few

I look back and glimpses catch
Of things I could have done
But find it’s been a boxing match
Each round I’ve lost, but one

This final round will take its toll
Before the closing bell does chime
So I work away with heart and soul
To try and finish up, on time
