Time:
A formidable mistress
Of which not one may cheat.

All shall inevitably succumb
To her wailing call

What birthed your name?
I dare not ask!
For one, such as I,

Your whisper be bold
against thy ear—
And chilling to thy spine.

For what is the meaning
Of life without you?
Though death I swiftly allude
Yet from which I can'st escape.
