Time…
 
A child, one of the First
A sibling of the Universe
Bonds in unseen ways
 
Time, is relative
Yesterday could well be a thousand years ago
Tomorrow may never come
 
Seemingly infinite in its forward span
Infinitesimal in its moments
Unfeeling, relentless and unbreakable
 
Inexorably tied to Brother/Sister Matter/Energy
Warped by the speed though the universe
Influenced by the mass, the gravity and the forward motion
 
We touch ever so briefly on Time’s velvet sheen
Almost completely ignorant of the everlasting grandeur
Or of the machinations that are incrementally delivered
