Time

Time

Winter’s lumbering clouds blanket the sky.

Hundreds of Starlings flock and away they fly.

Snow graces the valley below.

Where does the time go?

I do not know.

Icicless adorn the sills.

The creeks' ripples have grown still.

Geese and ducks have all gone south.

The flames of the wood stove have become the heart of the house.

The Nuthatch has stored nuts and grains.

They endure the freezing snows and rains.

Where does the time go?

It is as elusive as where the wind blows.

Many years have passed without passed loved ones present.

Friends that were frequent are no longer resent.

Time flows endlessly without care.

Not one moment to spare.

From where does time begin?

Where does it end?

Time seems to be infinite though it slips away in an instant.

In time we will fall but a new life will begin.

This is the nature of the time we live in.
