Time Changes Everyone

Time Changes Everyone

One day it will happen;

Different people we ll become

this is what I am

right now;

Somewhat insecure,

soft around the middle

settled in my ways

And I can’t remember ever being

someone else

They tell me I was a different man

Back then;

in the olden days

Where the past still lives;

at least for them

I don't want to know that much about me,

Who I was

Or who I wanted to be

Right now I’m just trying

to cope and understand

All that changes in a man, north of forty

I am approaching fifty and it makes you think about what you have done and what you have become !!! I feel I have matured well !  :) Others must see change in me and I hope they think they are for the better !!! Middle age does put you in a reflective mood.

Great write. :)

All the best to you !

nice take Christopher looking back over the years, well penned indeed with nice flow. I'm over 60 and looking back the world is a different world was when we grew up, so much has changed and mostly not for the better.well done, enjoyed the read!

Gordon, I suppose that is relative, the world has changed for the better, in certain things, but definitely not in music....cheers, thanks for consuming

This poem was golden, I love the ending "north of forty" was golden and I agree what way is there to look than forward. Driving forward and looking backwards is a dangerous move. All in all 10/10, sorry I haven't been up to speed. This was awesome
