Time Flies

Time Flies

Let’s sit down with a memory,

Let’s go back in time.

The way that things were,

Less stress on our minds.

From the day we’re born,

To the day we die.

Our last hello

Comes with a final goodbye.

Growing up with friends,

Graduating from school.

Causing trouble in town,

Thinking we were cool.

Our dreams have died,

But the memories remain.

It plays all over again,

But it’s never the same.

We can visit the past,

But we cannot stay.

We can rewatch moments,

But cannot throw away.

The clock keeps ticking, and

We’re still sitting here.

We only have so much,

Until the time is near.

I don’t notice it much, and

Time does seem slow.

I may not stay in touch,

But i’ll never let go.
