Time now

Grief

Time now

It’s time to move on
Leave you behind
Shrug off my grief
And see what I find
It will not be easy
I’ll struggle, I’ll flail
Facing the demons
That want me to fail
This time is different
Now I’m strong
I will not listen
I’ll prove them wrong
I know I’m alone
Sad and afraid
But then I remember
The price I’ve paid
I’ve unlocked the door
Now yearn to be free
To reclaim my life
To reclaim me.

Thank you but the grief was literal after my soulmate died, and it took me down into hell for nearly 10 years but I’m on the way back up now.
