Time Shot

Time Shot

Old man

waiting around

for nothing

in particular

Looks at his watch

which hasn't
worked in years

A gift from his wife
when she was still ticking

She use to always
get on his case
for being late

How ironic

She's grumbling now

as she awaits
him in the afterlife

Silly old man

Puttering days

He's lost track of time

and time

has lost track of him
