Time's Fate

Time's Fate

The minute hand struck and we drifted into our own destiny,
Fate pulling us apart but your memory still rests in me.

Bound together by our soul, yet apart by the spirit,
Connection within the heart as others cannot mirror it.

I love you still and this I can't deny,
But when we pass on the streets you glance over and just say "Hi".

We both know there's a novel underneath that hardened surface,
But your fire dimmed out when you left and had a different purpose.

I'm still me, are you still you?
That connection we can rebuild and should strongly pursue.

The rope was ending and we had to let go,
But there's always an encore to every single show.

Lets restore the magic we had in adolescence,
Laugh at our youth as we sit and reminiscence.
