Being a woman is so hard but people don’t see,
That there is so much expected so many Expectancies,
Be sure to spend an hour doing your make up right,
Don’t forget your fake lashes, to contour or features to highlight,
Cos you can’t be being natural, for natural’s unpretty,
Every girl questioning their looks and who they are, what a pity,
All of these pressures of what’s socially acceptable,
The way it makes women feel, it should be socially unacceptable,
But I guess we’re just impressionable,
But none of this seems ethical,
But somehow it’s now preferable to be someone that you’re not,
To hide behind a painted face to make sure your not forgot,
It’s crazy, you ladies, just be you and who you are,
Forget extensions and lip fillers, go ahead burn the bra,
Get back to being natural, get back to being you,
Cos one day you’ll get old and your beauty will be through.

I think a lot of women who are beautiful naturally—without all of the eye shadow and foundation, blush and eye liner—waste far too much time trying to improve on perfection.
