To be constantly needed

To be constantly needed

Corruption, nicotine stains
Dark hazel eyes

Too many outcomes in between

Not enough tries.

They want the control so bad

I just need a little peace.

It's mind over matter lately,

Hasn't fazed me in the least.

On the outside it's calm and poised

But the anxiety got me beat

Falling from the fifth story balcony

Hoping I'll land safely on my feet.

In an alternate reality

One where I just exist

Not take care of everyone and everything

And be the first one on their lists.

I'm working towards a whole new goal

The music's not even in the same tone

I'm just hoping to get somewhere different

And make a house into a home.
