To die with dignity

She used to laugh until the cancer came but the day she found out she was never the same
A light went out within her soul and left her lacking self control
In the blink of an eye she lost her fight to overcome her terrible plight
That dreaded day the Doctor said “You have a tumour in your head”
One minute was fine, the next was not the moment she found out what she’d got . She knew the score, she understood, she had no regrets coz her life had been good . Her time was over and she had given it her all, lived life to the full and had a ball
But that was yesterday and today was today, her time had come to go away. To die with dignity was the last thing she said so she lay her head on her pillow and died in bed
